Gardens
A Splendid Array of Colours
Conaglen House is surrounded by extensive lawns and mature formal gardens, maintained by two fulltime gardeners. The gardens are part of the Scotland’s Garden Scheme and are opened to the public for a day (not during a letting) every second year.
Lawns
The manicured lawns to the front of the house provide a perfect setting for croquet or other lawn games and can be accessed from French doors leading from the main house.
Formal gardens
To the rear of the house are the formal gardens, including a cut flower garden with water feature, herbaceous borders, a mature orchard and herb garden.
Woodland paths
Guests can enjoy a short stroll along the maintained paths of the woodland walk or explore the wild garden, keeping a look out for slowworms and other native wildlife that make their home here.
